Set of 2 cotton potholders

 

This most definitely IS your grandmother's basic potholder - the kind she would make out of cute fabric scraps. It's not fancy, it's not teflon, it doesn't have non-skid grippy textures, and you can't plunge your hand into boiling water while holding it. Just a nice, humble, quilted cotton hotpad which has a thousand uses in the kitchen and which stores nice and flat in a drawer!

 

 
About the Design

This "Belphoebe" pattern is based off an old 19th century fabric scrap. I did my best to recreate the design, and then I changed it into this colorway for some of the decorations at my daughter Belphoebe's wedding! So why not on potholders as well?
Care

Spot clean only. (Ok full disclosure - that's what it says on the tag, probably for bureaucratic, legal reasons . . . I always chuck mine in the washer and they do just fine!)

I love the color and style of the potholder, but was disappointed to find that it was spot clean only. That inhibits any future re-orders.

Hi Kathleen! We have good news for you, 'spot clean' is the suggestion on the tag, probably for bureaucratic, legal reasons . . . but we always chuck ours in the washer and they do just fine!
