This drying stone is made from diatomaceous earth, which is a powder of tiny, fossilized sea creatures. It is naturally anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, and anti-fungal, as well as being unbelievably absorbent. Set this stone next to your sink and place all your freshly washed dishes on it to drip dry. Unlike a dishtowel or cloth mat which gets soaked quickly and starts smelling bad if left consistently wet for any length of time, this drying stone will absorb a huge amount of water from your dish-doing activities while staying consistently dry and fresh. And it’s so much cuter than those rubber things! It’s like having a cheery dishtowel spread next to your sink but ever so much more effective!

I have used mine every single day for over nine months and it's almost never not covered in a pile of drying pots and pans - but it's still somehow magically never dripping wet. I'm totally addicted to mine!

About the Design

This "Paris" design is based off an antique, 19th century French silk fichu - but I've done it in a simple, Prussian blue colorway in order to channel a more cheerful-American-bandana-farmhouse-kitchen-dishtowel vibe. Because it was originally a French design and because I was sitting in a coffee shop in Texas called the "Paris Coffee House" when I finished it, I thought that "Paris" seemed like an appropriate name for it, despite it being not technically Parisian in any way.

Care

Every so often, let the stone dry completely out in a well-ventilated place. If the surface becomes dirty, give it a scrub and rinse. Do not soak it in water for a long time. If it absorbs colored water, it may remain as a stain - so set your teabags elsewhere! Soft Scrub with Bleach is helpful for removing stains but excessive surfactants may cause clogging of the surface so use only as needed rather than as a daily routine.

Beautiful design and works great. Doesn't warp like the last raised one I had. Perfect size, quite large and able to hold all my dishes!

I love this drying stone! It works so much better than dishtowels on the countertop, and it is beautiful to look at!

I love my Paris drying stone! It not only looks beautiful sitting on my counter, but it also works incredibly well! Liquids are absorbed quickly, and because of the large size, it holds a good amount of dishes at once. Very happy with my purchase!

This stone is absolutely beautiful! It adds color and space to my countertops even when I’m not setting any dishes out to dry. Highly recommend this over dish towels or ugly drying racks!

We are in love with this beautiful drying stone! It is the perfect place to leave clean, wet dishes to dry or to stack them while washing to avoid a wet counter and soaked towels. And it’s GORGEOUS!! Well done, once again, Bekah!
